The fifth Pillar of the spiritual side of success is the Pilgrimage walk.

Life is often compared to a pilgrimage that we must navigate from birth to death. Like a pilgrimage, life is filled with challenges, obstacles, and unknown paths that test our resilience, courage, and faith.

We have been exploring the five pillars that open us to the spiritual side of success.

We have explored the idea of praying and fasting, especially fasting of hurry and worry, and know that hurry and worry open up from fear, fear of things that may never happen.

Life is a long pilgrimage from fear to love. -Paulo Coelho

We explored the Idea of practicing being in selfless service several times a day,
which connects us more to live and to give active in a more generous way, which opens us to the flow of life.
Practicing this, we find ourselves in the current of our own aliveness.

Man is a substantial immigrant on a pilgrimage of being, and it is
accordingly meaningless to set limits to what he is capable of being.
Jose Ortega y Gasset

We realize that we are limitless.

The fifth pillar of the spiritual side of success is a pilgrimage, the pilgrimage way.

A pilgrimage is an outward journey for an inward purpose.

Most people think of a pilgrimage as visiting a holy place or a journey to a special place
and some want to go at least once in their lifetime for a pilgrimage.

But the idea of pilgrimage is not only this; a pilgrimage walk can happen every day.
Many of us walk to get from one place to another; we walk to our car, walk to the grocery store,
and walk around our yard.
But it depends on how we do these walks. Are we walking in awareness and mindfulness?
In a stressful life today, we often walk around or even drive and sometimes
can not remember how we got where we are.

But why not start to be more mindful? Let’s try and practice being mindful.
Practice living life from the inside out instead of the outside in.

Connect to our source, let go of worry about things which never may happen, being of service
and feel the oneness, giving freely without expectation of being unattached, and walk through life
without hurry, but mindful and in awareness.

Let’s suppose we are walking into a sacred place; we would walk quietly and carefully,
watching every step, walking in awareness and feeling into the place we are. Looking around us
and notice as much as we can about this place.

Walking mindfully

“If you and I would walk mindfully, every day would become a pilgrimage,” Tich Nhat Hanh

Walking mindfully means being aware of our steps, our breath, our feet touching the ground,
inhaling peace, exhaling love.
If we practice this today and walk like that, then every step will be grounding and nourishing.
Even if we do only a few steps, we will find a part of ourselves; we do the pilgrimage walk.

Alan Watts: “We thought of life by analogy with a journey, a pilgrimage, which had a serious purpose at the end, and the thing was to get to that end, success or whatever it is, maybe heaven after you’re dead.
But we missed the point the whole way along. It was a musical thing, and you were supposed to sing or to dance while the music was being played.”

So let’s be aware and mindful and listen to music and sing and dance while the music is played.

Life is a pilgrimage.

Life is a pilgrimage. The wise man does not rest by the roadside inns. He marches direct to the illimitable domain of eternal bliss, his ultimate destination.-Sivananda

Pilgrimage to the place of the wise is to find an escape from the flame of separateness.-Rumi

Life is indeed a pilgrimage, a sacred journey filled with lessons, challenges, and moments of transcendence. By approaching life with a pilgrim’s mindset, we can navigate its ups and downs with grace, courage, and faith.

This was about the fifth pillar of the spiritual side of success.
It may not be easy to follow these teachings all the time, but we can at least start
and practice to become more mindful and see that our possibilities are limitless.
