The Universal Laws are intrinsic, unchanging Laws of the Universe that ancient cultures have always intuitively recognized.

the universal laws

The universal laws work everywhere all the time, whether you are aware of them or not. These laws are constant principles governing everything in the universe and apply to everyone without exception.

The key to success and personal growth lies in understanding and living in harmony with these laws.

You don’t have any limits because you belong to the unlimited universe.

Limitations are in the mind. Not in real. Stay blind to any fears or limitations and open your eyes to the inexhaustible power and infinite possibilities already inside you.

My favorite quote: “In times of change, the learners will inherit the earth well, the learned find themselves beautifully equipped to deal with the world that no longer exists” – Eric Hoffer.

Now is the time. Learning is not hammering information into our heads; it’s becoming aware of what’s already inside of us.

The Law of Perpetual Transmutation

This law tells us that energy moves into physical form, and it also points out that the images you hold in your mind most often materialize and become a part of your life.

Everything was always first an Idea before it became a physical thing.

“There is a thinking stuff from which all things are made, and which, in its original state, permeates, penetrates, and fills the interspaces of the universe. A thought in this substance produces the thing that is imagined by the thought. A person can form things in his thought, and, by impressing his thought upon formless substance, can cause the thing he thinks about to be created.”

― Wallace D. Wattles

Karana Chitta (superconscious mind). The mind of light, the all-knowing intelligence of the soul. (චිත්ත (Chitta) for mind/consciousness? )

Karana Chitta (Sanskrit: कारण चित्त) refers to the causal mind, the superconscious, all-knowing intelligence of the soul, the “mind of light” that holds pure consciousness beyond waking, dreaming, and deep sleep states (Turiya). It’s the deepest layer of the mind (or Antahkarana), a repository of soul memories and spiritual awareness, connected to bliss (Anandamaya Kosha) and divine consciousness, representing the highest potential of the inner self.

Key Aspects of Karana Chitta:

  • Causal Mind: It’s the root cause of all mental activity, holding the seeds (samskaras) from past lives.
  • Superconscious: It’s the intuitive, all-knowing aspect, the divine intelligence within, distinct from the active thinking mind (Manas) or intellect (Buddhi).
  • Turiya State: It’s associated with Turiya, the fourth state of consciousness, transcending ordinary experience.
  • Part of Antahkarana: As part of the inner instrument (Antahkarana), it sits above Manas (mind), Chitta (subconscious/memory), and Buddhi (intellect).
  • Connection to Bliss: In some traditions, it corresponds to the Anandamaya Kosha, the sheath of bliss.

In Simple Terms:

Think of your mind like a layered onion:

  • Outer layers: Your everyday thoughts (Manas) and memories (Chitta).
  • Deeper layer: Your intellect and decisions (Buddhi).
  • Innermost Core (Karana Chitta): The pure, divine source of your being, the soul’s knowing, the state of ultimate awareness beyond the daily hustle.

In Sanskrit and Hindu philosophy, karana chitta (causal mind) refers to the superconscious or intuitive mind of the soul. It is the mind of pure light and all-knowing intelligence, associated with the deepest states of consciousness and the “causal body” (karana sharira).

Explanation of the Term

  • Chitta generally refers to the mind-stuff or the entire mental field, which acts as a storehouse for memories, impressions, and subconscious patterns (samskaras). It is considered one of the four components of the antahkarana (inner instrument), along with manas (sensory mind), buddhi (intellect), and ahamkara (ego).
  • Karana means “causal” or “instrument”.

In this context, karana chitta is a specific, elevated state or level of the mind.

Key Characteristics

  • Superconscious State: It corresponds to the turiya state, which is the “fourth” state of consciousness beyond wakefulness, dreaming, and deep sleep. It is a state of enlightenment or pure awareness.
  • Source of Intuition: It is described as the source of intuition, clarity, and spontaneous vision, functioning beyond the ordinary conscious and subconscious processes.
  • Causal Body: It is associated with the anandamaya kosha (bliss sheath) and the karana sharira (causal body), which is the “seed” for a new life after the physical and subtle bodies are gone.
  • Connection to Cosmic Intelligence: Some traditions view it as a link to the basis of creation within oneself, functioning as a “living mind” rather than an intellect driven by memory.

The law of perpetual transmutation explains that everything in the universe that we can see, hear, smell, taste, or touch, together with our emotions, is the manifestation of energy in various levels of vibration. The universe, as a whole and in its parts, exists in an ocean of motion; you literally live in an ocean of motion.

Motion is the only constant thing; change is energy’s only attribute, and because of it, all that is apparent to our material senses. Energy is in a constant state of transmission and transmutation; it is the cause and effect of itself and can neither be created nor destroyed.

Thought energy, non-physical energy, spiritual thought, what we’re dealing with is a power that’s flowing to and through us. Now, visualize yourself as the stick person. You see your head is your mind, and you see your body as the instrument of your mind. The top half of your head is your conscious mind. Now visualize energy flowing into your conscious mind, where you build thoughts and bring them together, ultimately forming ideas.

That is energy that’s beginning to take form. You take that energy, and you impress it upon your subconscious mind. The law explains that non-physical levels of life are constantly moving into physical form.

The physical level of life is the manifestation of the non-physical, so we’ve got the idea, which is nothing but thoughts brought together. That’s what an idea is: it’s a thought or a collection of them directed towards a purpose. So, we bring this non-physical energy into form and impress it upon our subconscious mind.

Now, emotions are expressed with and through the body. The body is moved into action, which produces the results.

It is the ideas and the subconscious mind that cause those emotions that set up that vibration, and the vibration is expressed in action.

And that energy has literally moved into form in physical results. This law explains the creative process and also describes prayer. Prayer is the movement that takes place between spirit and form.

The Law of Relativity,

states that nothing is good or bad, big or small, until you relate it to something else. Another key point is that by relating your situation to something much worse, yours will always look good in comparison.

Let’s take a look at the law of relativity.

In the study of this law, we find that all things are relative; all laws are interconnected and correspond with one another.

The laws of the little are the laws of the great. There is no big or small, fast or slow except by comparison. This is a beautiful thing to know: nothing’s big, nothing’s small; the subconscious mind doesn’t understand anything as being big or small – everything just is.

Every law must be relative to all the other; they must be in harmony and correspond with each other.

An understanding of the law of relativity will provide one with the means to solve many of the paradoxes of nature that seem unexplainable. The much-discussed fourth dimension is nothing more nor less than the dimension of vibration. All rates of vibration are either high or low only by comparison with those above or below them. Whenever this law is used correctly, you win. Let’s remember that everyone does something better than you. Likewise, you do something better than every person you meet. When you relate something you do that you are not proficient at to something another person does that they have mastered, you’re not going to look good.

You’re using the law against yourself. Begin using this law to heighten your self-esteem and increase the image you hold of yourself, and you’ll then become aware of how special you are in the light of truth.

Build this picture in your mind, close your eyes for a moment, and imagine three blocks in front of you. We have three square boxes. We have a little box that we’re going to call A, and now we sit beside it. A one that’s about twice its size, and we’re going to say it is B. Now, take another one and put it beside it, twice the size of B, and we’ll call it C. When you look at B from A, the smaller box B appears larger. However, when you relate B to C, the bigger box B seems small. The apparent truth is that B is neither big nor small; B just is. We make B what it is by virtue of how we work with the law.

Everything in life just is. We make it what it is. Make a habit of using this law to your benefit. When reviewing your results, avoid comparing them to someone who excels in that area. Relate your results to what you want to achieve. If they’re not what you want, you can change them. You have a god-like ability.

The Law of Vibration

states that everything vibrates; nothing rests. Conscious awareness of vibration is called feeling.

Your thoughts control your paradigms and your vibration, which dictates what you attract. Another critical point of the law of vibration is this: when you are not feeling good, become aware of what you are thinking, then think of something pleasant.

The next natural law we want to examine is the law of vibration, also known as the law of vibration and attraction. Attraction is a result of the vibration you’re in. It’s an attraction that you really want to develop an understanding of, and its foundation is vibration.

All communications are based on the law of vibration. Everything in the universe vibrates; nothing rests. We really do live in an ocean of motion. Now, this law truly contains the great secret of life: you are constantly moving towards something, and it is always moving towards you – it’s the action and attraction. This is where your intuitive factor is used, or should be; you can use it to pick up another person’s vibrations.

When you consciously become aware of vibrations, you refer to them as feelings. When you feel bad, you can change your feelings by thinking good thoughts. And when you pick up a bad feeling from another person, you know they must be thinking disturbing thoughts. You must not let their negative vibration or their negative energy affect your way of thinking. Your thoughts are vibrations that you send off into the universe.

When you concentrate, the vibrations are stronger. Your thoughts are cosmic waves of energy that penetrate all time and space. Thought is the most potent vibration, and remember that you can think, which makes you a very special creation. God’s/universe’s greatest masterpiece, you should always be delighted with yourself.

All creation begins in your thought; you control the vibration of your physical body. Disease is a body not at ease. Health is a body at ease. Here are a few points you want to consider: the conscious awareness of vibration is referred to as feeling. Therefore, when you say ‘I feel bad’ or ‘I feel great,’ you are declaring that you are in either a negative or a positive vibration.

Another point is that the mind is movement; the law of vibration decrees that everything moves, nothing rests. The brain is the instrument you use to move your entire being into a different vibration.

The brain is your vibratory switching station. Your brain will not think. Still, when you think, your brain is something that you have to use to improve your life.

When you say you think or you say you are thinking something, what you are really doing is choosing to activate specific brain cells, which in turn affect your central nervous system. You move into whatever vibration those particular cells govern.

The law of attraction immediately goes to work delivering whatever you are thinking about.

The last point to focus on: brain cells are where you store mental pictures or images. If the cells you activate have sad or negative images, you will move into a negative vibration and feel bad. If they have happy images, you will move into a positive vibration and feel very good.

Choose happy pictures, and you must feel good vibrations.

Everything evolves through the sound of God/universe, following the law of vibration. Ignore logic and follow that gut feeling/intuition.

God/the universe is speaking to you. It has been said that prayer is a means of communication with God/the universe.

Our intuitive factor is how God/the universe guides us, and it’s all done through vibration, isn’t that beautiful?

The Law of Polarity

states that everything has an opposite, such as hot and cold, up and down, and good and bad.

There’d be no inside to the room if there weren’t an outside to the room. That’s fairly obvious, but most people overlook it.

Another important point about the law of polarity: constantly look for the good in people and in situations. When you find it, tell the person.

People love compliments, and the positive idea in your mind makes you feel good. Remember, a good idea is a sound vibration. If you’re in a good vibration, you’ll attract good things to you.

Here is the next great law, the law of polarity

The positive is that everything in the universe has its opposite. There would be no inside to a room without an outside. If you refer to the side of a sheet of paper where words are written as the top, then the other side would be the bottom. You have a right and a left side to your body, as well as a front and a back. Every up has a down, and every down has an up.

The law of polarity not only states that everything has an opposite, but it also asserts that these opposites are equal and opposite in nature. If it were three feet from the floor and onto the table, it would be three feet from the top of the table down to the floor.

And if it’s a hundred and fifty miles from Manchester to London by law, it must be 150 miles from London to Manchester; it could not be any other way. If something you considered bad happens in your life, there would have to be something good about it.

If it was only a little bad when you mentally work your way around to the other side of it, you’ll find that it’s only a little good.

Mentally build a horizontal line out in front of you. Make it six feet long. Make the left-hand side of the line where it ends negative, and the right-hand side of the line where it ends positive. Here, we have a horizontal line that’s six feet long, right in the center. Place a vertical line, and above the line, write the word ‘is’. The line indicates whether the value is positive or negative. When you move to the left-hand side of the center, it’s negative; when you move to the right-hand side of the center, it’s positive.

If you go an inch to the left-hand side of the line, you’d say it’s only a little negative. Well, it’s equal and opposite. When you work your way around to the positive side, you’re just going to go an inch to the right-hand side. Now, if you went over about three feet, you’d be a way off at the end. It could be terrible, but if you go in the opposite direction on the right-hand side, then it’s going to be great. You make it negative or positive by virtue of how you choose to think about the situation.

When you look at the situation one way, it’s negative. You can change your perspective and look at it from the opposite viewpoint, and you’ll find it to be positive.

However, in truth, every situation is as it is.

Now it may be tricky to say everything just is. If something unpleasant happens, you’re inclined to focus on the negative aspects, but when something good happens, you tend to look at the positive side.

Now we’re being controlled from outside, let’s control it from inside. It doesn’t matter what happens; it just is. You don’t react, you respond, and then keep on going.

The Law of Rhythm,

states the tide goes out, the tide comes in, night follows the day, good times, bad times. It affects all aspects of your life. Another point on the law of rhythm, when you are on a down swing, do not feel bad, know the swing will change, and things will get better. Good times are coming, think of them.

Now we’re coming to the law that takes us up and down, where we just flow up and down. It’s the law of rhythm; it embodies the truth that everything is moving to and from. Flowing in and out, swinging back and forward, there’s a high and a low tide; everything is flowing both in and out in accordance with the law.

There is always a reaction to every action. Something must advance when anything retreats, something must rise when anything sinks. The law governs the movement of all planets in their orbits and also manifests in the material and vegetable kingdoms. Men and women can observe this law in their mental, physical, and emotional states.

The law of rhythm is universal. This can be observed in the rising and setting of the sun and the moon, the ebb and flow of the tides, the coming and going of the seasons, and in the rhythmic swing of consciousness and unconsciousness.

You’re not going to feel good all of the time. No one does; if you did, you wouldn’t even know it. The low feelings are what permit you to enjoy the high feelings. Life is full of highs and lows. Reason gives us the ability to choose our thoughts; that’s what we call free will, even when you are on a natural downswing. You can choose good thoughts with your free will and continue to move up toward your goal.

Everyone experiences low points, but it’s because of those low points that we can enjoy the high points. We have dominion over our marvelous mind; we have been given the god-like ability to choose our thoughts. Let’s make up our minds to stay in control.

Now, stop and ask yourself how you will apply these laws. How will you use specific laws in your life? Apply each law to just one area of your

life, and you’re going to form the habit of living with the law.

The Law of Cause and Effect,

states that whatever you send into the universe comes back; action and reaction are equal and opposite. Say good things to everyone, treat them with total respect, and it will all come back to you. Never worry about what you are going to get; concentrate on what you can give.

The law of cause and effect states that every cause has its effect, every effect its cause. There is no such thing as chance; everything happens according to law. Nothing in the entire universe ever happens unless it occurs according to law; nothing ever escapes the laws of nature.

It is impossible for the human mind to conceive of starting a new chain of causation for the simple reason that every effect must have a cause, and in turn, the cause must have an effect.

We have the perpetual, never-ending cycle of cause and effect. We use the words miracle, chance, and luck fairly liberally; we toss those words out quite freely. Voltaire said we invented those words to express the known effects of unknown causes. Ralph Waldo Emerson called this law, the law of cause and effect, the law of laws. You are, of course, very interested in the results of your physical health, your relationships, the respect you earn, and your material income. You must concentrate on the cause, and the effect will automatically take care of itself. That is how the law works.

Here are a few affirmations that you can use with respect to the law of cause and effect and your life. Here’s one for your mental and physical health: start repeating to yourself, “I am so happy and grateful now that I maintain a balanced diet and exercise mentally and physically every day. Here’s one for your relationships:” I am so happy and grateful now that I maintain close contact with all my loving and meaningful relationships.” How about the respect you earn? Here’s another one: “I am so happy and grateful that I treat everyone with the utmost respect.

I am a good finder, don’t be a fault finder, be a good finder.

Your material income, “I am so happy and grateful now that money comes to me in increasing quantities through multiple sources on a continuous basis.”

Continually think of creative ways to provide better service, learn to live by the law, and forget about luck.

When you compliment a person, they will usually bask in the light of that compliment and enjoy it. Later on, they’ll think that was really nice of you, and they’ll send you good energy back.

However, if you yell at someone and treat them improperly, they will likely scream back at you. Let’s not do that when someone gets upset and yells at us. And let’s not scream back. Let’s stay calm. Let’s duck and let it keep on going.

Take a few moments, sit down, and write out how you’re going to apply the law of cause and effect to your life.

The Law of Gender or Gestation:

Every seed has a gestational and incubation period. Ideas are spiritual seeds that will manifest into physical form or results. Remember about the law of gender: your goals will manifest when the time is right. Know that they will. You may not know the time, but the law does, and the law dictates that it must take form at the right time.

The last of these great laws is the law of gender. An Understanding of this law makes life so much better. A misunderstanding of this law causes many people to feel that they have failed when, in reality, they have not completed the job.

The law of gender manifests in all things as masculine and feminine. It is this law that governs what we know as creation. The word ‘creation’ is often erroneously used, for in reality, nothing is ever created; all new things are merely the result of changing something that was, into something else, that now is.

The law of gender manifests in the animal kingdom as sex; it also manifests in the mineral and vegetable kingdoms. Without the dual principle of male and female in all things, there could not be a difference of potential perpetuation of motion, nor regeneration.

This law is one that finally closes the cycle and completes the circle of the seven subsidiary laws under the one great law, ‘energy is, or God is.’

This is, in truth, the creative law. This law decrees that everything in nature is both male and female; both are required for life to exist.

This law also decrees that all seeds have a gestation or an incubation period before they manifest. It’s also worthwhile to note that ideas are spiritual seeds. In other words, when you choose a goal or build the image in your mind, a definite period of time must elapse before that image manifests in a physical result. Be patient; all ideas take form at the right time. If you’ve set a goal, you set the goal in the present tense; you’ve already got it on an intellectual level.

The moment you think of it, as you turn it over to your emotional mind, you’ve already got it on an emotional level. You can share it with me intellectually through words, gestures, or writing; you can share it with me emotionally through vibration.

The only thing you are unable to do is enjoy it yourself on a physical or material plane, or share it with someone else on the physical plane.

Since most people live strictly on the physical plane and just live through their senses, when they do not see the manifestation of the physical, they think it hasn’t happened.

It’s happening; it’s not a matter of whether it hasn’t happened. It’s happening, and it will continue to happen as long as you hold the image in your mind. The only thing you don’t know is how long it will take you to reach the goal or how long it will take that idea to take form. That’s the gestation or incubation period for this spiritual seed, which is an idea.

Given the length of time it will take us to reach the goal, or the gestation period we’re currently estimating, we estimate pretty close to the actual time.

I have seen people guess the right day, but they frequently miss by a mile. I have seen myself miss by a year, I’ve seen myself miss by a month, but I’ll tell you this, I knew I hadn’t missed. If the date I had set for myself to reach the goal came and the goal had not materialized, I just knew that I had chosen the wrong date. –  Bob Proctor

Take a few moments to sit down and really think about this. Ask yourself how you will apply this information to your life.

What three lessons stand out most in your mind, and how will you begin to employ them so you will benefit from them in a greater way?

Spend some serious time studying these laws.

What they teach us is that you have a power within you that is far superior to any circumstance or situation around you, you have free will to think what you want to think, and it’s these very thoughts that are in charge of directing power to whatever you choose in your lifetime. So think for a moment, what are you choosing now, and what have you unconsciously chosen in the past?
