Giving is a pillar of the spiritual side of success.

Giving is another fundamental aspect of the spiritual side of success . When we give generously of our time, talents, and resources, we not only help others but also experience a sense of fulfillment and joy that can lead to greater success.

The reason we look at these 5 pillars is that for thousands of years, people experienced that their lives expanded when they lived and practiced these teachings:

Prayer and Fasting we saw how it benefits us; for example, fasting from hurry and worry and being of service to others. Today we look at the spirit of giving an increased trust in the flow of life.

There is a difference between being of service and giving. Helping others and giving what we know, or have plenty of it, is being of service. We share our knowledge, or we help to carry something; we listen and give advice, or we give a smile….

Giving is if we give out of spirit if we give even though we think we cannot afford to give when we share what we own when we share a part of our belongings.
Tithing a part of our salary, for example, for somebody in need, even if it hurts.

We may hesitate and have to overcome the part of ourselves who wants to withhold, but we give anyway; this is truly giving. To share your own possessions and give of yourself.

Kahlil Gibran, On Giving

“You give but little when you give of your possessions.
It is when you give of yourself that you truly give.
They give that they may live, for to withhold is to perish”.

If we give anyway, we will find that life is generous; we will go with the flow of life.

Life is always seeking a freer, fuller, expanded expression of itself by means of itself.
Life delights to support us, to uplift us, to carry us forward if we work with life, not asking life to work with us .- Mary Morrissey

“The Divine operation is always for expansion and fuller expression,
and this means the production of something beyond what has gone before,
something entirely new, not included in past experience,
though proceeding out of it by an orderly sequence of growth”.
-Thomas Troward

Now we learned what giving really means, and sometimes we will hesitate when we feel we should give.
But let’s do it anyway when we feel it is right and see what begins to happen.
Work with life and start giving out of spirit today.

“For in truth, it is life that gives unto life while you, who deem yourself a giver,
are but a witness. Rather rise together with the giver on his gifts as on wings;
For to be over mindful of your debt is to doubt his generosity who has the freehearted earth for mother and God for father”. – Khalil Gibran – On Giving

When I chased after money, I never had enough. When I got my life on purpose and focused on giving of myself and everything that arrived into my life, then I was prosperous.
— Wayne Dyer

The Law of Giving says the more you give of yourself without expecting a return, the more that will come back to you. That’s because we live in an ocean of motion—nothing stands still. There’s a constant flow of energy in our universe, and this energy flows to and through us.

The flow of money, relationships, and opportunities in our lives mirror our flow of energy interacting with the universal field of energy around us.-  Bob Proctor – the Law of Giving

And the Bhagavad Gita:

“You have the right to work, but for the work’s sake only. You have no right to the fruits of work. Desire for the fruits of work must never be your motive in working. Never give way to laziness, either.

Perform every action with your heart fixed on the Supreme Lord. Renounce attachment to the fruits. Be even-tempered in success and failure: for it is this evenness of temper that is meant by yoga.

Work done with anxiety about results is far inferior to work done without such anxiety in the calm of self-surrender. Seek refuge in the knowledge of Brahma. They who work selfishly for results are miserable.”

When you cease to make a contribution, you begin to die.— Eleanor Roosevelt

“Rings and jewels are not gifts, but apologies for gifts. The only gift is a portion of thyself.”
“To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.”
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

“It is the heart that does the giving; the fingers only let go,” — a Nigerian saying.

“To give, I am no miser; to take, I am no divine.”- Satyananda Sarangi
