Changing Paradigms – a multitude of Habits
Changing Paradigms or Habits, oh those nasty habits. We developed habits from training, influences, remarks, and practice. We develop many habits in our life, some are good and others are bad.
Good habits we can keep, but if one needs to improve his life the dangerous habits have to change. Getting rid of dangerous Paradigms, however, is not easy, particularly if a habit is involved.
For this reason, let us take several steps and see how we can change this.
“Until you make the unconscious conscious it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”- C.G. Jung
How can you change your habits and improve your life?
Making excuses:
People wander by means of life, making excuses. Anytime an individual sees something difficult, they are going to usually make excuses why they can not deal with the problem. “This is how I am.” This is a frequent problem in the world, we have all heard this often.
If you are willing to improve yourself, it is essential to say, “This habit is something keeping me from living a better life, and I have the power to change this”.
The first key to being able to improve your life is to stop making excuses. Seeing this reality is the only way. You can improve your personal life by stopping to make excuses.
If you realize the truth of this, make a commitment, and get rid of old habits and replace them with better and new ones.

How To change your Habits
How can you change your habits?
For Example :
Start your day with gratitude. Instead of thinking of all the tasks you want to accomplish. Think of ten things you are grateful for. This takes only a few minutes, and you can do it even while brushing your teeth. You will have a better attitude, and it will change your whole day.
“When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive—to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love—then make that day count!”-Steve Maraboli
“Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues but the parent of all others.”- Marcus Tullius Cicero
Stop judging others and yourself.
It is a frequent mistake people make. Judging brings us nowhere. It only creates chaos.
“Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves.”-Carl Gustav Jung
“Judgments prevent us from seeing the good that lies beyond appearances.”-Wayne Dyer
“The highest form of human intelligence is to observe yourself without judgment.”-Jiddu Krishnamurti
Do you think negatively?
“I can’t change this. “My life is filled with nonsense, and I don’t like it anymore”. Why me?” Start learning to get aware of these destructive thoughts and negative self-talk. Look for the good in seemingly bad things, there is always something to learn from it.
Look for the better!
Say,” I can change things, and I am going to.” Instead of saying life is filled with nonsense, accept it as truth but move forward and make your life better. “Why me” is a standard question, which nobody is aware of why, simply accept it, make different choices and move ahead. If you feel negative, ask yourself why?
What are you doing that makes you feel this way? Do you have people around you who make you feel like this? Change it and be more often with people who support and accept you. We can not change anybody; however, we can change how we feel about it.
Begin changing your habits by taking little steps.
Don’t get frustrated if it may take time. It will not change overnight. Get aware of your habits and paradigms and eliminate the bad ones. Make modifications to enhance your life.

BREAKING BARRIERS – The Shark Experiment on Limiting Beliefs| Inspirational Story by Simerjeet Singh
Hi Erika,
Changing certainly isn’t easy and should not be expected to happen over night. I’ve come to learn that in order to really change you have to want it. Because that point you will stop making excuses and make more of an effort to bring about the change.
I think people tend to fail at changing when they don’t focus on carrying it out or judge themselves harshly for it not happening in an instant.
~Lea
Hi Lea,
yes ,changing habits and a paradigm shift is a process. Some things can change fast by getting aware if it .
But it is true we have to want it and do something for it. Yes ,it is internal judgement what makes things
difficult ,this is why it is better to have support and encouragement to really be able to make lasting and
beneficial changes. We need a supporting environment.

Thanks for sharing
Chery :))
Hi Chery,
I am glad you like my post .
I would say find the limiting beliefs and paradigms which do not serve anymore,
let them go and make a shift to better.
“Every fact we learn leads us to the learning of another fact; knowledge is continually increasing.
Every talent we cultivate brings to the mind the desire to cultivate another talent;
we are subject to the urge of life, seeking expression, whichever drives us on to know more,
to do more, and to be more”.-Wallace D. Wattles

Hey Erika,
Everyone wants to change their paradigms but always miss the above concept completely. If we want better results financially, or in relationships as I’m sure most people do, we have to learn how to be able to access our subconscious mind where the paradigm is currently. Repetition of information emotionally is the number one key to reprogramming your mind for success. Eventually, thanks for sharing your worthy thought with us.
With best wishes,
Amar kumar
Hi Amar,
it is true we have to get aware of the paradigms we have to be able to release or change them.
Not everybody is aware of them ,but if someone wants to change life to better it is needed.
You are right, repetition of better thought and emotions and awareness is what brings change.
Being grateful and counting our blessings is a good start to get out of negativity.
Thank you for your comment.
To your success

Hi Erika,
Great advice.. given in a easy to understand conversational manner. I enjoyed reading and reminded me once again to be in gratitude.
Abe
Hi Abe , nice to see you here 🙂
You are right ,gratitude is powerful ,it brings us in good frequency.
There is a paradigm that we should be happy with what we have ,many think it is not right to want more.
But it is in our nature to strive for better, we are here to expand and grow and gratitude attracts the good we want.
“A grateful mind is a great mind which eventually attracts to itself great things.’ – Plato
Gratitude is an opener of locked-up blessings. ~Marianne Williamson
Thank you , I am grateful for your comment 🙂

All the best for your new business
Erika
It certainly is important to reflect on your own behavior when looking towards way to improve your life. I especially like that you made a point about negative thinking. It is so easy to poison the well if we steep ourselves in negativity where that is from being surrounded by negative people, acting in a negative way or ‘simply” having negative thoughts.
Hi Elise,
You are right if we are surrounded by negative people ,
we often do not realize how this does affect us .It is
easy to get in negative thoughts in an environment like this.
We need to learn to be aware of this and learn to change our
perspective . It is a process ,but it can be done.
Thank you for your comment

Hi Erika,
One my my favorite quotes is “To ignore the power of paradigms [your mindset] to influence your judgment is to put yourself at risk when exploring the future. To be able to shape your future you have to be ready and able to change your paradigm [mindset].” (I forgot who said it but I’ve been quoting it for years.
Hi Rachel ,
I love your quote and I had it in another post “What are Paradigms”,it is from Joel Barker,
but I saw it quoted also from James A.Ray in “The Science of Success”.
It is really the truth without changing our paradigms we will not explore ,
we will stay in the same condition we are in 🙂
Thank you
Erika
Hey Erika,
We all have those nasty habits and we need to change them. Changing our paradigm is really important if we want to grow. I have changed many things in my life. Some were hard to deal with.
Making excuses is one of the most annoying habit people have adapted. They should try to give it up.
Thanks for the article.
~Ravi
Hi Ravi ,
nice to see you here 🙂
Right, we all have habits and we need to get aware of them to be able to change them.
Good if you are aware of them and start to change them . You are a young man and the future
is yours . It is easier to change things when young ,these habits are not sitting as deep as
in older people .
You are right, the excuses and blaming others or circumstances is what keeps most people in
the same old conditions. One has to learn to take full responsibility for his life to be able
to move forward.
Good, you are aware of things you can change ,it is a process in progress.
To your success
Thank you
Erika
Hi Erika,
It would be terrible for me change . Certainly, it take more time for me to accept the change. But after reading your post, I changed my topic, and I’m trying to take your advice. So hereafter I’m going to change my paradigms but without losing my concept. And I’m sure it will bring better results in my life both in financial wise and relationship wise. But I very thank you for you to share a post like this.
Hi Satish,
Changing paradigms and habits is a process, it does not happen right away.
If we get aware of a habit which does not serve us or is not good for us ,
it needs a certain time to change it. You do not need to loose your concept
or goal, but you may get aware of a paradigm which keeps you from reaching it.
For example , if you have the habit of watching too much TV instead of doing
your work, you need to change it to be more productive and reach your goal.
Or maybe someone told you are not good enough to do good work and you believe it,
this is a paradigm a limiting believe ,you better get rid of because you
can be good at whatever you love to do.
We keep good habits, like being reliable or honest, which serve us and get
aware of bad ones and get rid of them.
Thank you
Erika
